Colebrook Chronicle Are New Land Purchases for Northern Pass

The Colebrook Chronicle is reporting that a company related to Public Service of New Hampshire is buying land in a pattern that suggests it will try a more easterly route for the controversial Northern Pass project. October 04, 2011 Last April Northern Pass said it was searching for a new route for the first 40 miles from the Canadian border to Groveton. Recently a spokesman for Northern Pass said the project hopes to reveal a new and more acceptable route this fall. The Chronicle says Public Service of New Hampshire and Northeast Utilities used a company called Properties Inc to purchase “over 300 acres of land in Pittsburg near the Vermont and Canada border and another large tract in Columbia and Dixville Notch.”
