Panel OKs sale of Wellington Road land

Aldermen have given initial approval to the sale of city land in north Manchester to a developer with plans to build more than 80 homes. October 19, 2010 The proposal was approved in a 3-2 committee vote, with opponents arguing the land should instead be reserved for a park or a school.
