St. Elizabeths Hospital purchases OFallon land for $18 million

O'FALLON -- Hospital Sisters Health Services has purchased land in O'Fallon for $18 million where it plans to build a new medical center for St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Hospital Sisters, the Springfield-based Roman Catholic health care mission that owns and operates the Belleville hospital, closed on the deal Tuesday, a day after the O'Fallon City Council to create a tax increment financing district in the area. The land is located north of Interstate 64 and west of Green Mount Road. November 24, 2011
