County To Acquire 67 Acre Tract in Waretown

A 67-acre tract stretching from the Waretown Lake Park nearly to the Rail Trail north of Wells Mills Road in Ocean Township is being acquired by Ocean County for $725,000, a steep discount from the $2.5 million once asked for the site. April 04, 2011 The state’s Green Acres program may pay half the purchase price, Freeholder John C. Bartlett Jr. said Wednesday.
