Lebanon Twp. OKs transfer of Green Acres funding for 57 acres

After a public hearing on April 6 the Township Committee adopted an ordinance that will transfer Green Acres money toward the purchase 57 acres on Anthony Road from Ronald Fisher. The township was previously awarded state Green Acres funding for another project that fell through after the county backed out. The ordinance authorizes $113,062.50 of the Green Acres money be applied to purchasing the land. The New Jersey Water Supply Authority and Hunterdon Land Trust are interested in contributing to the rest of the purchase cost. No other township funds would be used. April 13, 2011
