Tiverton Land Trust Buys 63 Acres In Preservation Efforts

As reported in a recent Sold post, the Tiverton Land Trust’s mission of preserving town’s scenery took another step forward recently with the $485,000 acquisition of the Lorraine Durfee Estate. It is comprised of roughly 63 acres of forested land, adding to what is considered the largest forest tract east of Narragansett Bay. The land contains an oak-hickory forest, overlooking Nanaquaket Pond to the west. Located along the Pocasset Ridge, it is marked by a line that is visible along various points of Main Road.
