Forum to focus on farms, estate plans

LAS CRUCES - An Agricultural Lands Conservation Forum is set from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Road. The forum will provide participants with an overview of estate planning tools that can help landowners reduce their income and estate tax burden and keep working farms and ranches intact, according to a news release. Participants will hear about the process from New Mexico landowners who have used agricultural conservation easements and related tax incentives to conserve their property. October 05, 2011
