St. Lawrence County Boy Scout Camp Sold to Local Land Developer

A well known Boy Scout Camp in St. Lawrence County has been sold by Longhouse Council, Inc., and will soon be developed for new use. An agreement was reached allowing for the sale of Camp Portaferry, a 388 acres camp that has been owned by Longhouse Council, Inc., Boy Scouts of America. The agreement was reached between the Longhouse Council, Inc., Boy Scouts of America and Land First, Inc., which includes the old scout camp located in the Towns of Pitcairn and Fern in St. Lawrence County.
