NY acquires 261 acres in Putnam County

The Cranberry Mountain Wildlife Management Area in Putnam County has expanded by a third with the state’s acquisition of a 261-acre property known as North Hollow. December 08, 2011 The land, which is prized for wildlife habitat and water quality protection, is within the Great Swamp watershed. It was acquired by the state with federal grant money and a private donation.
