The Nassau County Legislature recently voted to sell the former Navy property. Nassau County, which took ownership of the parcel in April 2008 to mitigate economic losses to the county resulting from the closure of the former Grumman Corp. manufacturing plant, will receive $15 million from Steel Equities in two installments for the property located on South Oyster Bay Road.
