Westchester County ready to approve Teatown land deal

Annexing 59 acres of open space to the Teatown Reservation to protect area drinking water and provide more parkland looks to be a done deal, county officials say. November 09, 2011 The parcel lies in New Castle and Yorktown, within the Croton Watershed, and borders the 834-acre Teatown Lake Reservation. Under terms of a proposal that Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino is sending to the Board of Legislators, Teatown would acquire the property from its current owner, Open Space Institute.
