Blue Ridge Parkway land protected

The corridor along the Blue Ridge Parkway has expanded by 110 acres with the help of generous landowners and the Conservation Trust for North Carolina. March 15, 2011 Joe and Wilma Jo Arrington sold 64 acres last year near the parkway in Haywood County to the Conservation Trust for much less than the land's appraised value of $15,000 an acre. The Arringtons donated an additional 46 acres to the group.
