Carowinds Buys 61 Acres for Theme Park Expansion

Cedar Fair Entertainment Company announced Monday the company has purchased 61 acres of land adjacent to Carowinds amusement park with plans to expand the park. This 61-acre land acquisition will enable the company to achieve future development and expansion of the park. The property is located next to Carowinds' current parking lots and near I-77.
