Metro park near New Albany to get 127 more acres

The new Rocky Fork Metro Park is growing again. January 12, 2012 Metro Parks is buying 127 acres in Plain Township for $2.2 million, which will bring the size of the parkland near New Albany to 777 acres. The district so far has spent more the $10 million to buy land for the park. The Metro Parks board this week authorized the purchase of the property between Rt. 605 and Schleppi Road along Franklin County’s northern edge.
