Rumpke buys acreage near landfill

Rumpke of Northern Ohio this month bought about 145 acres on Ohio 13 North near the Noble Road Landfill it has owned since 2009. January 06, 2012 Tuesday, a company spokesman said the acquisition was made for future business expansion. "We have explored the possibility of expanding the landfill," Jonathan Kissell said. "The beginning stages of this is to do some geological studies. That's kind of where we are right now. There is nothing official."
