Voters in November will be asked to renew a state program that preserves farmland and cleans up polluted property.
The Clean Ohio Fund began in 2000, and Gov. Ted Strickland said Thursday he doesn't want voters to forget about it amid all the news surrounding the presidential election and other issues on the ballot.
Strickland has included the Clean Ohio Fund as part of the state's $1.6 billion economic stimulus plan.
If voters renew the fund, it would raise $400 million in bonds.
The fund has revitalized 173 polluted industrial sites and preserved 20,000 acres of farmland since it began.
