December 14, 2009 Oklahoma Panhandle ---- Successful results continue for Auctioneers and Real Estate Specialists in rural America. Hunting Country Real Estate LLC’s recent land auction gives back to organizations that support the future of our family farms. Hunting Country “Auction Services” completed a strong fourth quarter on Friday in the Oklahoma Panhandle offering 1765 acres of mostly Native Pastureland for sale at public auction in the rural town of Guymon Oklahoma. Participants at the auction included absentee bidders, pre-registrants, and interested Buyers from 3 different states. The ranchland was offered in multiple tracts ranging from 40 acres to 1371 acres. The winning bidder paid in excess of $1.1 Million on sale day contradicting recessionary beliefs. The highest selling farm of the day was approximately half native pasture and half cultivation hammering the closing bid at $370,000 for 319 acres. Opening Friday’s auction was “Auction Manager” Eddie Smith giving $1,000 from Hunting Country Real Estate LLC to the local FFA Chapter, which was received by Guymon High School FFA advisors Chip Laubach and Brian Sapp along with students of the local high school chapter. Smith is the retired Oklahoma State FFA Advisor previously serving the Department of Career Tech. After 38 years in education and serving on the National FFA board of directors Smith continues helping farmers by marketing their real estate. The National FFA Organization, formerly known as the Future Farmers of America, is a national youth organization of 495,046 student members – all preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture – as part of 7,242 local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The auction team from Hunting Country’s staff combined their efforts to advocate the best possible scenario for their clients. Full color brochures, on-line advertising, power-point video presentations, and national multi-media advertising contributed to the auction’s success. Recent declines in land sales related to the national recession has not hindered the growth of Hunting Country Real Estate LLC. The Alva, Oklahoma-based agricultural and recreational real estate company has expanded its service area by opening an office in San Antonio, Texas and recently obtaining licenses in Missouri.
