Shawnee Preservation Soc. commits effort to save 170 acres

The Shawnee Preservation Society held its annual meeting on Monday, with 24 members attending, including lifetime residents and newcomers. May 13, 2011 Outgoing president Martha Carbone gave a review of SPS happenings since the last annual meeting in August 2009. The annual meetings are held in May when there are fewer issues with vacations and families preparing for school, Carbone said.
