Thornbury Township purchases 27 acres to remain open space

Thornbury Township approved the Agreement of Sale to purchase 7.79 acres for open space. This represents property next to Palmer Park and will provide access to Dilworthtown Road. March 24, 2011 “This has been a work in progress for some time and expands the Park. When we first started, that park was 14 acres and now we’re up to about 40 acres,” said Supervisor Chairman James Raith. “This was number 12 on our list of priority open space purchases and has been part of a plan that’s been in effect for about five years; since we had a study done by the EAC,” noted Raith.
