27 acres on Kettle Point in E. Providence to be sold in foreclosure

Since British Petroleum stopped using Kettle Point as a petroleum storage facility site in the 1980s, two plans to redevelop it have fallen by the wayside, thanks to the banking crises of the early 1990s and the late 2000s. June 17, 2011 On June 23, a foreclosure sale is scheduled for 27 acres of the 40-acre waterfront site off Veterans Memorial Parkway, part of the East Providence Waterfront Special Development District, according to legal notices published in The Journal.
