RI buys 105 acres of forest for nature preserve

Rhode Island is preserving 105 acres of mature forestland in the northwestern corner of the state. September 28, 2011 The state announced Wednesday that it would add the property to the adjacent 1,748-acre Black Hut Management Area in Burrillville. The property contains an old quarry, forests, wetlands and large rock outcroppings.
