Property owners TPWD commission close on state park land near Strawn

After several months, Texas Parks and Wildlife and Strawn-area landowners signed the last of the paperwork Thursday to finalize the purchase of three tracts of property for a future state park. October 30, 2011 The $7.6 million purchase buys the state about 3,335 acres of rugged ranch land in rolling, varied terrain surrounding Strawn's 81-acre Tucker Lake. Palo Pinto County Realtor Janna Brimer said after some hard work, the deal is final. She put together the land sale, representing the three sellers, and said they closed Thursday afternoon.
