March 21 Event Showcases Unique Vineyard Community

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – March 12, 2009 – Vintage Oaks at the Vineyard, a Bluegreen Community?, announced the debut of “Tour and Taste”, an exciting event that combines model home tours with premier wine tasting in the heart of the Texas Hill Country Wine Trail.

“Tour and Taste” takes place on Saturday, March 21 and is free and open to the public. Throughout the afternoon, guests will tour seven builder model homes, each paired with one of seven featured Texas Hill Country Vineyards that will offer tastings in the homes, for a complete “vineyard living” experience.

Tanji Patton, local wine and food celebrity journalist and host of “Good Taste With Tanji,” will make a guest appearance at the event. Well-known to San Antonio residents as the original host and executive producer of the lifestyle show “San Antonio Living” from 1997 to 2002, Patton has explored wine regions all over the world and currently serves on the board of the New World Wine and Food Festival in San Antonio.

“After spending 20 years as an investigative reporter, news anchor, producer and host, I decided to pursue a new direction that complements my passion for exploring wine, good food, and travel,” said Patton. “Vintage Oaks showcases all of these lifestyle elements in a beautiful vineyard community setting, so being a part of ‘Tour and Taste’ is a natural fit.”
