2253 acres protected in Albemarle in 2010

The Piedmont Environmental Council announced Monday that county landowners protected 2,253 acres in 2010. January 24, 2011 That increase brings the total amount of easement-protected land in the county to roughly 83,600 acres, which is about 17.5 percent of the land in Albemarle.
