440 acres of forest land is conserved

After two-and-a-half years of work, the Trust for Public land has conserved a large and forested wetlands property in north Worcester. March 29, 2011 The 440-acre property is located within the Holly Grove Swamp along a half-mile of Ayers Creek. It will be a priority for local conservation efforts as well as the first large, wooded area available for public access in the northern portion of Worcester County, conservation groups said.
