National Park Service likely to own 244 acres at Fort Monroe

Few details are available of the footprint of a national monument at Fort Monroe but it's expected to be similar to the area being put forward in bills before Congress. October 31, 2011 President Barack Obama is expected to create the newest national monument when he makes a historic announcement today.
