Navy acquires conservation easement from Chesapeake to protect 640 acres from development

The Navy has acquired a conservation easement to protect 640 acres in Chesapeake from development. September 28, 2011 The Virginian-Pilot reports that the City Council voted Tuesday to sell the easement to the Navy for $1.55 million.
