County completes land acquisition for public shooting range

Snohomish County’s Parks & Recreation Department recently finished the acquisition of 156 acres, which will be used for the design and operation of a public shooting range. The property along Sultan Basin Road just north of Sultan was reconveyed to the county by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) after an extended process that included concept planning, environmental review, public meetings and action by the state Natural Resource Board and the Snohomish County Council.
