Whatcom Land Trust adds to Samish River Preserve

A Whatcom Land Trust purchase of 453 acres of forested land east of Wickersham will help protect significant salmon habitat in its Samish River Preserve, but pieces of the property not necessary to the effort could be traded. December 26, 2010 The land trust bought the land in June from Trillium Corp. for $955,000 in a sealed bid public auction. It was the first time the land trust bought land in that way.
