Jefferson County land protected from builders

Another 184 acres of farmland in Jefferson County will be protected from development. June 15, 2011 Jefferson County Farmland Protection Board administrator Elizabeth Wheeler said Laurie L. Scott of Harpers Ferry signed a conservation easement this month to protect 49 acres. Another easement granted by the Hockman family will protect 135 acres.
