More Jefferson Co. farms added to preservation program

Another 668 acres of working agricultural land in Jefferson County were added to a trove of nearly 3,000 acres in the farmland preservation program following a County Commission vote Thursday. December 02, 2010 The easements came from seven farms in parcels ranging from 33 acres to 198 acres, Peter Fricke, chairman of the county’s Farmland Protection Board, told the commissioners.
