City will renegotiate land purchase deal with Madison developer

Mayor Paul Soglin has asked city officials to renegotiate a land deal with developer Terrence Wall, with both saying the deal is stalling completion of a 162-acre industrial park on the Northeast Side. Wall, a major contributor to Soglin's campaign, has sought for years to change the terms of the 2002 deal, under which he agreed to buy land from the city in phases at an escalating price for his Center for Industry and Commerce on Highway 51 near Dane County Regional Airport.
