Governor to announce next Wisconsin dairy initiatives

The Dairy Business Association (DBA) of Wisconsin holding their annual conference in Madison this week. Seminars on Wednesday dealt with immigration, the rBST-free movement, environmental concerns, siting challenges and the upcoming elections.
Governor Jim Doyle will be the featured speaker Thursday morning and he is going to use the occasion to announce a new plan to launch the next generation of Wisconsin’s dairy and agriculture. The Governor’s office says the plan contains, “New initiatives to help Wisconsin farmers and producers become more efficient and innovative, enter growing markets, and seize green opportunity in the new economy.”
Thursday’s sessions will also deal with the Northeast Wisconsin Karst Task Force Report and the DBA Green Tier Advancement Project.
The conference is at the Madison Marriot West in Middleton.
