School district buys 60 acres

Land is near city's new athletic fields and could be high school The Wisconsin Dells School Board unanimously approved making an offer to purchase 60 acres of land that someday might be the site of a high school at a meeting Monday. Superintendent Terrance Slack said in a separate interview Tuesday that South Central Land Co., LLC. approached the board about the land about 8 to 10 weeks ago. The land is east of Ninth Avenue and the purchase price is $560,000. The land is near the parcels that the city of Wisconsin Dells is buying for athletic fields. That land was annexed into the city from the town of Dell Prairie. December 20, 2011
