UWM group wants until Feb. 15 to close on Wauwatosa land purchase

In December, I reported that a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Foundation affiliate had raised the $5 million down payment on a proposed research park site in Wauwatosa, and would make the purchase in January. January 21, 2011 That affiliate, Innovation Park LLC, is now seeking County Board permission to extend the closing date by 30 days, from Jan. 15 to Feb. 15. That board's Committee on Economic and Community Development will consider the request regarding the county-owned land at its Monday meeting.
