CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) -- A Bureau of Land Management oil and gas lease sale in Wyoming has generated nearly $3 million.

About 43,000 acres in 54 parcels were sold during the bimonthly sale this week.

Bids from $2 per acre to $350 per acre were offered.

The next BLM oil and gas lease sale will be held Feb. 2 in Cheyenne.

Half the money raised from the BLM lease sales is shared with the state of Wyoming.
