Recent internal data records about $3 billion in land and other rural acreage for sale in the Magnolia State. This comprises about 640,000 acres of land for sale in Mississippi. Of Mississippi's 82 counties, Pearl River County had the most rural property and land for sale. There were 709 acres of sold land in Mississippi recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a decline in sales activity over data from the previous month. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $1 million. DeSoto, Madison, Monroe County saw the most land sales recently in the state. The Magnolia State incorporates over 50 wildlife management areas, in addition to nine national wildlife refuges, where hunters gun for white-tailed deer, waterfowl, wild hogs, and wild turkeys.
