Trophy Creek Ranch is an ideal 210 acre recreational ranch located in Pontotoc County, OK just northeast of Ada and is a 90 mile drive from OKC, 115 miles from Tulsa and 170 miles from Dallas. Four thousand feet of Factory Creek run through the center of the property before traveling offsite for about a mile and intersecting with the South Canadian River wildlife corridor. This clear water creek runs year around and has deep pools bounded by gravel beds that are ideal for fossil and arrowhead hunting. As you walk down the creek, there are numerous heavily used game trails that cross the creek. In addition, multiple feeder creeks and drainages intersect it and support the flow of the creek. Mature oaks, walnuts and other hardwoods grow in the rich soils near the creek. Just west of the creek lies the largest food plot that measures 10 acres. During filming we saw a nice group of wild turkeys feeding and tons of deer tracks. Just across a small feeder creek lies a small 1 acre food plot that feels perfect for bow hunting. There are four more food plots on the east side of the creek. These include an isolated food plot with feeder near the north boundary. Three more roughly 1 acre food plots are located near the center of the property. One has a 1/2 pond that adjoins it, another has an old barn and feeder and the last has soybeans planted in it. It was interesting to note how the deer had been eating the turnips and radishes leaving behind pieces of both as they ate. The owners have documentation of trophy bucks that range from really good to awesome.

Trophy Creek also has about 190 acres of woods that offer great bedding and forage. The mixture of mature hardwoods, green briar, and honeysuckle in the creek bottom gives way to thick growths of post oak and blackjack on the boulder ringed ridges. With an elevation change of 100 feet there are lots of great places to sit on a ridge and watch over the creek bottom and draws below. Another interesting feature is that the property only has 400 feet of road frontage on a dead end county road. Because of this, the property is secluded from the world while still having adequate road access.

In addition to deer hunting opportunities, the management of the property has also created ideal conditions for wild turkeys. Interestingly, we did not see sign of wild hogs, which is highly unusual these days. In addition to the 1/2 acre pond, a 2.3 acre lake provides great duck hunting opportunities given the proximity to the South Canadian flyway. There are multiple smaller ponds scattered around the property but the largest pond and lake would be ideal for spending spring and summer days fishing.

Lastly, for those looking for a home site or place to build a great cabin, the ridge overlooking the lake is an ideal spot to spend your days looking over the water and watching deer come out in the food plot that runs along the side of it. With water and electricity on the property, its waiting for someone like you to complete the scene.
